Main Part2 of Egg & Muffin Toaster..

TOAST(major part)

A toaster uses infrared radiation to heat a piece of bread. When we put our bread in and see the coils glow red, the coils are producing infrared radiation. The radiation gently dries and chars the surface of the bread. The most common way for a toaster to create the infrared radiation is to use nichrome wire wrapped back and forth across a mica sheet like this.

Toaster Heating element, Nichrome wire and Mica sheet

Nichrome wire has a fairly high electrical resistance compared to something like copper wire, so even a short length of it has enough resistance to get quite hot. The nichrome alloy does not oxidize when heated. Iron wire would rust very quckly at the temperatures seen in a toaster. When we use it, a spring-loaded tray pops the toast out. This keeps us from having to turn the toaster upside down.

SPRING-LOADED TRAY(minor part)

Two mica/nichrome sheets line either side of the slot. A metal holder rises up and down in the slot to raise and lower the bread. Many toasters include a pair of grates on either side of the slot. The grates press againts the bread and center it. Two metal springs get pushed when the holder nears the bottom of the slot, and they pull the grates inward. The holders in each slot are connected to the handle that you depress to lower the bread into the toaster, as shown below:

Summary Of Gadget Funtion....

Removing the winding knobs and the back of the clock reveals the inside of the clock. By removing the stand, alarm bells, hands, face and mounting ring, we end up with the clock mechanism itself. This clock (like most table clocks and wrist watches) uses an oscillating wheel in place of a pendulum. The wheel and its spring are at the bottom. The clock`s main spring is on the upper right. The spring on the left is for the alarm, which has its own gear train and escapement. The hands go on the concentric shafts in the center. All the different gears fit together. The gears will delivering power to oscillating wheel in the foreground. There are four gears between the main spring and the escapement wheel. The fourth gear`s shaft drives the second hand. There is the escapement wheel, the anchor and the oscillating wheel and spring. There are four gears for the hour hand, minute hand and the alarm hand. There are two gears for the alarm hammer, one of which doubles as an escapement wheel.

Description of Main Components of The Gadget....

source:http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/electronic-gadgets-channel.htm

There are five basic parts in this gadget. First is Weight or spring - This provides the energy to turn the hands of the clock. Second, Weight gear train - A high-ratio gear train gears the weight drum way up so that you don't have to rewind the clock very often. Third, Escapement - Made up of the pendulum, the anchor and the escapement gear, the escapement precisely regulates the speed at which the weight's energy is released. Fourth, Hand gear train - The train gears things down so the minute and hour hands turn at the right rates. And the last is Setting mechanism - This somehow disengages, slips or ratchets the gear train so the clock can be rewound and set.

Description about Gadget...

Wind-up alarm clocks have been around a long time, but they are still fun to explore. For more information on clocks in general, please see the article entitled How Pendulum Clocks Work. Here is the clock we will be exploring today:

Removing the winding knobs and the back of the clock reveals the inside of the clock:

By removing the stand, alarm bells, hands, face and mounting ring, you end up with the clock mechansim itself.

This clock (like most table clocks and wrist watches) uses an oscillating wheel in place of a pendulum. The wheel and its spring are at the bottom. In the picture above, the clock's main spring is on the upper right. The spring on the left is for the alarm, which has its own gear train and escapement.
In the picture below you see the front of the mechanism. The hands go on the concentric shafts in the center.

Looking at the mechanism from the side shows how all of the different gears fit together.

The following picture shows you the oscillating wheel in the foreground, with gears delivering power to it.

Although this clock looks complicated, there only about a dozen moving parts. There are four gears between the main spring and the escapement wheel. The fourth gear's shaft drives the second hand. There is the escapement wheel, the anchor and the oscillating wheel and spring. There are four gears for the hour hand, minute hand and the alarm hand. There are two gears for the alarm hammer, one of which doubles as an escapement wheel.

Information:

This gadget is Wind-up Alarm Clock. Pendulum clocks have been used to keep time since 1656, and they have not changed dramatically since then. Pendulum clocks were the first clocks made to have any sort of accuracy. When we look at a pendulum clock from the outside, we notice several different parts that are important to the mechanism of all pendulum clocks:
There is the face of the clock, with its hour and minute hand (and sometimes even a "moon phase" dial). There are one or more weights (or, if the clock is more modern, a keyhole used to wind a spring inside the clock -- we will stick with weight-driven clocks in this article).
And there is the pendulum itself. In most wall clocks that use a pendulum, the pendulum swings once per second. In small cuckoo clocks the pendulum might swing twice a second. In large grandfather clocks, the pendulum swings once every two seconds. Its main components consist of escapement gear, pendulum and anchor.

What I Have Done to Improve My Presentation Skills..

I have done many things to improve my presentation. About my slides, I have changed it so that it gets so attractive. I put Nadal pictures in the second slide of my slide show. I want all my audiences know who is that I am talking about. I put three main points about Rafael Nadal to be story when presentation which are his biography, his career and his playing style. Before that, I have put the reason why I admire him in third slide. In every slide, I just write simply about what I am going to present so that my slide show did not looks so bad. I also makesure that I write the things that really relevant to the topic. This will help me to present well and can make sure the audiences understand what I explain to them.

The Best Presenter and The Worst Presenter...

In my opinion, the best presenter is TJ Walker. I completely admire with him because he looks very comfortable to deliver his words in front of more people. He can attract all people by his own way. He has nice tone that can make people all around being attracted to enjoy watching and listening to his presentation. Besides that, he also very confident when he is speaking. I cannot see the manner that show he is lack of confident. He presents his slide show clearly and I believe that all people will understand what he talking about. Moreover, he use eye contact perfectly. His eye contact show that he communicates with all audiences and that is thing the presenter must do to avoid audiences feel boring. He also good in talking about the topic that can attract the audiences. I can see that he is a creative person in doing slide show. His creative slide show also can be one of the factor why his presentation is the best.
While the worst presentor is The Microsoft Dude. He looks lack of confident where he looses his eye contact. He just read the slide show. When this happens, he cannot communicate with audiences well. The audiences feel bored with his presentation because he cannot attract the audiences. His voice also slow. And he cannot tell the people well about what he was present. This makes people cannot understand what he was talking about. And as a result, his presentation get worse.

comment about rafael nadal

Rafael Nadal is a tennis player that talented. Beside his talent, he also work hard to win all the match that he entered especially in the ATP match cup in his career. This was proved when he defeat world no. 1(Roger Federer). And now he was ranked world no. 2. His won in every matches is not too depend on fate but it is more depends on the way he plays actually in the court. He is one of the most powerful tennis player. He has tough body and also strong-big forehands. He has masculine feature and no wonder there are more fans especially females that like player like him. This make he is able to smash the tennis ball strongly to kill(defeat) the other players. The special thing about him is he is consistently plays in the clay-court. He is rarely lose the matches in the clay-court. This case has caused he is well-known as Rafa,King of Clay. Beside that, the other thing that I like about him is he always playing tennis calmly. He can control himself from looked so stress. I think this is one of the factor that contribute to his won. He has a good attitude while he is in the court. He did not let himself become stress or overcontroll. He always give full concentration to all of his matches. Did not like the other tennis players that always say the unpolite words when they make mistake. When he win, he is not too over. He just relax and give smile and style that indicated his satisfaction to his goodjob or succesful after he worked so hard. So, we can see that Nadal is a person that always focuse and calm in doing anything. I like his style so much.

thank you very much
